Kurron is a leader in the design and management of health care solutions including health care facility management, strategic advice, health systems and insurance design and implementation, merger and acquisition advisory services, and sponsorship and equity ownership of health service component companies. Kurron has recently launched Kurron Capital, a private investment firm focusing on the healthcare services sector.
Kurron is seeking a Financial Analyst to support both its consulting and investment businesses. The role would demand equal attention to each. For Kurron Consulting, the Financial Analyst will provide decision-making support to the Chief Financial Officer who oversees the finance teams at several New York Area healthcare systems. With respect to private equity activities, the Financial Analyst will provide general analytical and research support to the Kurron deal team. More specifically, the responsibilities of each role will entail:
1) Consulting
• Assist in development and implementation of enhancements to financial management reporting systems
• Assist with profitability and cost benefit analyses used to identify valuable operational performance improvement projects
• Prepare long term forecasts and sensitivity analyses to identify and illustrate risks to financial performance and solvency
• Assist in development of financial presentations to senior management and Boards of Trustees
• Develop relevant financial management reports for the managers of the various hospital finance departments
• Perform other duties as assigned
2) Private Equity
• Provide general analytical support to the deal team responsible for sourcing, evaluating, structuring, completing and monitoring private equity investments
• Create detailed financial models to project industry trends and company performance
• Create models reflecting deal pricing, structuring and leverage scenarios
• Assist in conducting all aspects of thorough due diligence on prospective investment companies
• Assist in preparation of recommendations to the firm’s investment committee, and participate in investment committee discussions of deal opportunities
• Perform other duties as assigned
Relevant Requirements
• Minimum of one year experience as a financial analyst at an investment bank or consulting firm or in a related situation
• Experience in the development of financial models
• Strong communication and interpersonal relationship skills with clients and external partners/stakeholders
• Team player, able to thrive in a entrepreneurial environment
• Demonstrated project planning and organizational skills and the ability to adapt to a fast changing environment
• Command of Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong knowledge of the operation of accounting software and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) are both a plus
• Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus
